
Corporate responsibility is becoming increasingly important. There are also high expectations for responsible business practices in the brewing and soft drinks industry. Responsibility does not only refer to promoting environmental or employee wellbeing − it is a cross-cutting theme at the core of all business practices.
This is Hartwall’s first report on responsibility. Its purpose is to present different aspects of our operations and to encourage active dialogue with our stakeholders on issues concerning responsibility.
Established in 1836, Hartwall is determined to become Finland’s most responsible company in the beverage industry. Over the course of time, it has implemented its responsibility in many different ways. Nowadays, the constant assessment of corporate responsibility communications and activities is much more important than it was earlier because consumers and other stakeholders place increasing expectations on corporate operations.
At the practical level, Hartwall’s responsibility is visible in areas such as saving and recycling energy and packaging materials, caring for wellbeing at work and responsible marketing.
