The long drink boom continues. Last year saw all-time record-breaking sales of 34 million litres of long drinks in Finland (Finnish Food and Drink Industries' Federation, ETL). Hartwall Original Gin Long Drink is an invigorating blend that combines refreshing gin with the sharp taste of grapefruit. The drink was brought to market for the Helsinki Olympics back in 1952. The ready-mixed drink was designed to ease the workload of restaurant staff serving tourists during the Games. However, the bottled version was so popular with home audiences that it remained on the market. Nowadays, it is exported to countries such as Estonia, Denmark and Spain.
