Hartwall Part of the Heineken Group

The bid from Heineken and Carlsberg for Scottish & Newcastle has advanced to the division of S&N’s operations between these two brewing corporations. S&N’s operations in the UK, Portugal, Belgium and Finland will be held by Heineken from today. Hartwall is also now part of the Heineken Group.

The change of ownership will have no immediate impact on Hartwall’s operations.

"We Hartwall employees look to the future with confidence as part of the Heineken Group. However, we will concentrate on our core competencies: expanding and developing our brands – to bring Finnish consumers the very finest beverage experiences. Hartwall is a strong company, we have excellent products, expertise and knowledge of the market. With these advantages, we shall continue to do well in the future as before," says Hartwall’s Managing Director Yrjö Närhinen.
