PepsiCo will bolster its range of healthy drinks in Finland by launching H2Oh! flavoured water. Already familiar to consumers in selected markets the world over, H2Oh! is lightly carbonated and calorie free. Stores will stock the new product on their water shelves starting in April.
The lightly carbonated H2Oh! is a flavoured thirst quencher that has already made a name for itself around the world. With this new product, PepsiCo caters to the consumer trend for enjoying delicious and healthy beverages at home, out and about in the city, at the movies or in the company of your friends wherever you may be. This zero-calorie water beverage is also perfect for consumers watching their calories.
The decision to launch the new water in Finland is based on compelling research results.
“H2Oh! is positioned between the water and soft drink categories. The product has the healthy characteristics of water and the delicious taste of a soft drink. Thanks to today’s health trend and the favourable market situation, now is a good time to launch H2Oh! in Finland. Consumer research leads us to expect that it will be very well received,” says Marketing Manager Toni Rounas, PepsiCo.
H2Oh! Apple and H2Oh! Lemon-Lime will be launched in Finland in April. Both flavours will be available in half-litre recyclable deposit plastic bottles. Apple will also be sold in 1.5 litre recyclable deposit plastic bottles.
PepsiCo promises to launch new food and drink brands in Finland
PepsiCo’s product portfolio in Finland is constantly developed on the basis of market monitoring and consumer research.
“PepsiCo’s global product portfolio features 17 food and drink brands that are valued at over one billion USD. After the launch of H2Oh!, PepsiCo will have eight food and drink brands in Finland,” says Managing Director Harry Skön, PepsiCo Nordic Finland.
PepsiCo last introduced a new product family in Finland at the turn of 2006-2007 – the Quaker cereal and microwave porridge line. Gatorade, the world’s leading sports drink, was brought to Finland in the spring of 2004.
“Our goal is to keep bolstering our product portfolio in Finland by developing our current product families with new products and introducing new food and beverage product families when the time is right,” says Skön.
Other PepsiCo brands available in Finland are Pepsi and Pepsi Max, 7UP and 7UP Free, Mountain Dew, Tropicana, Gatorade, Lipton Ice Tea and Quaker.
