Hartwall introduces a completely new, convenient multipack ― the Minipack, containing 6 x 0.33 litre recyclable plastic bottles. The practical and simple pack is the ideal solution in most situations. It is large enough to provide everyone with their own bottle on a car journey, at the summer cottage, at children’s parties or in the garden.
The new Minipack is available with Hartwall Jaffa Orange, ED Energy Drink, Pepsi Max and Hartwall Novelle Fruity Junior. One bottle holds 0.33 litres. Minipack gives you small single-use bottles in a handy multipack ― the best of both worlds.
“Consumers want multi-purpose packaging. Hartwall is an innovative trailblazer in the drinks industry, and this extends to our packaging development, too. Hartwall is the first to introduce a packaging option like this to the markets. Small-scale packaging has its niche in the market – not everyone wants to buy their drinks in large containers; many people prefer small multipacks which can be shared out, or which allow people to grab a bottle in passing,” Hartwall’s Category Marketing Manager, Matti Ristola, explains.
Hartwall is also introducing a new 4 x 1.5 litre pack of recyclable plastic bottles. The bottles, tightly packed in compression moulded plastic, stay securely in their pack, and the wide handle gives a firm grip. The new packs will contain Hartwall’s perennial favourites, Hartwall Novelle and Hartwall Novelle Citronelle as well as Hartwall Jaffa Orange and Orange Light. The convenient pack goes a long way with even a large crowd or on a long trip to the cottage.
Hartwall will adopt the recyclable plastic bottle
Over the summer Hartwall will replace all refillable plastic bottles with recyclable ones. Recyclable bottles are a consumer-friendly alternative; the consumer gets an entirely new, clean bottle at every purchase. Used bottles are ground up to produce the material for new bottle preforms or for other industrial packaging.
Hartwall adopted the recyclable plastic bottle in all 0.5 litre packaging from the beginning of 2008. In larger packs, recyclable plastic bottles have been phased in more slowly, but by the summer all the remaining products will be available in recyclable plastic bottles, and the old refillable bottles will disappear from the pack selections completely.
Because the shape and size of recyclable plastic bottles are not as strictly regulated as in the case of refillable bottles, it is possible to focus on innovative package design and clear distinctions between the products. The recyclable bottles are also made of a thinner plastic than the refillable ones and are therefore more lightweight. All recyclable bottles manufactured by Hartwall carry a deposit.
