Bulmers Pear Is an Authentic English Pear Cider

Bulmers PearThe popular Bulmers Original apple cider will be joined on Finnish shelves by the new, fruity Bulmers Pear cider. The fresh, pear-flavoured, full-bodied Bulmers Pear is a traditional English cider with roots in the moors of Hereford in South West England. The region’s cider traditions date back at least 2,000 years.

Bulmers Pear is refreshingly tart, with juicy, ripe pear aromas. The natural pear tannins give the flavour authentic English ciders’ trademark kick. The beverage’s aroma and aftertaste also contain a hint of citrus and even tropical fruit.

In its homeland of England, Bulmers Pear has become extremely popular. English and special ciders are also the fastest growing sub category of ciders in Finland.

The cider’s fruit juice content is high at 75%. Only the finest ingredients are used in its production, guaranteeing a rich, top quality flavour. The yeast used in the beverage’s production was developed 100 years ago in the Bulmers family company. At that time, the Bulmers brothers’ business partner and advisor, Herbert Durham, studied wine and cider production in Champagne, and developed the unique yeast strain still in use at Bulmers.

Eternal passion and skills are indeed an essential part of Hereford’s cider making traditions. Bulmers combines a solid knowledge of and respect for cider traditions with top technology and strict quality control. The result is a refreshingly fruity cider, enjoyed in dozens of countries all over the world.

Bulmers Pear cider is sold in pint-sized (0.568 l) glass bottles. The beverage’s alcohol content is 4.5 volume per cent. It will appear on shop shelves on 16 August.
