Can water improve your wellbeing? Can it make you more beautiful? Absolutely. The new Hartwall Novelle Plus product family includes added minerals and vitamins that are important to your daily wellbeing. These beverages make you feel good and are a great addition to a healthy lifestyle. The product family features three products: the new Hartwall Novelle Magnesium + Vitamin C and Zinc + Vitamin E as well as the familiar Calcium Citrus.
Studies show that more than anything else Finns want to be healthier and have more stamina, vitality and energy (Redera 2009). Health awareness is increasing and Finns are taking a more proactive and holistic approach to their own health and wellbeing. In matters of nutrition, people are paying attention to healthier choices, a well-rounded diet and permitted pleasures.
“One’s appearance and beauty are considered to be an important part of wellbeing. Your skin and body indicate how well you feel. Health, mental wellbeing and appearance are all interlinked in the concept of beauty. People who exercise actively want to supplement their diets with waters that promote their wellbeing,” says Karla Frisk, Brand Manager for Hartwall Novelle.
Wellbeing and beauty from water
The new Hartwall Novelle Plus Magnesium + Vitamin C is a green apple-flavoured, unsweetened and calorie-free mineral water for active lifestyles. It helps muscles recover after strain. It includes magnesium, which is important for promoting muscle recovery, and water-soluble vitamin C, which is important for maintaining natural resistance. One 0.5-litre bottle of Novelle Plus Magnesium + Vitamin C includes 30% of the recommended daily allowance of magnesium and 100% of the vitamin C, in accordance with Finnish RDA guidelines.
“Magnesium is an important mineral even for average exercisers and has quite a broad impact on wellbeing,” says Frisk.
The other newcomer in the product family is Novelle Plus Zinc + Vitamin E, an apricot- and jasmine-flavoured beverage that is sweetened with fructose and which helps take care of skin. It contains vitamin E and zinc to calm and protect the skin. The beverage provides 30% of the recommended daily allowance of both zinc and vitamin E, in accordance with Finnish RDA guidelines, and has an energy content of 17 kcal/dl.
The product family also includes the familiar Novelle Plus Calcium Citrus, a calorie-free, lemon-flavoured mineral water that has been proven to be a good source of calcium. One 0.5-litre bottle of Novelle Plus Calcium provides a third of the daily calcium requirement of an adult.
