Hartwall launches a new unique beer for the snowy season. Lapin Kulta Tuisku is a top fermented organic beer, made of the best natural ingredients and full of rich flavour. A numbered special batch of 85,000 bottles is a tour-de-force of the Lapin Kulta Brew Master Mika Mäkelä and a Finnish microbrewery.
In the coming years, one of Hartwall’s focus areas is developing Finnish beer culture.
“As a part of building beer culture, we want to offer Finnish people a comprehensive selection of delightful beers. Finns are eager to try out new varieties of beer alongside old favourites, and currently people are interested in authenticity and organic issues. An organic beer forms a natural part of the Lapin Kulta family. Lapin Kulta is a Finnish high-quality premium beer, the history of which is deeply rooted in the pure Finnish nature,” says Tuomas Kahri, Marketing and Communications Director of Hartwall.
Lapin Kulta Tuisku is a top fermented organic beer, made of the best natural ingredients. All ingredients used in the beer are produced organically and, with the exception of the hops, Finnish. The rich and versatile flavour of the beer arises from organic malt, top fermentation, abundant hops and yarrow, an organic herb. The colour of the beer is beautiful pale brown, and light reflects exquisitely in its cloudy shades.
“The malt used in Lapin Kulta Tuisku has been made of Finnish organic barley. In addition to light organic pilsner malt, a darker organic malt variety, produced especially for this beer, has been used. Top fermentation creates a lot of aromatic compounds that give Lapin Kulta Tuisku its rich, fresh and fruity aroma,” explains Mika Mäkelä, Lapin Kulta Brew Master.
“Unfortunately, there are no organic hops available in Finland, so we selected the suitable organic hops from Central Europe for Lapin Kulta Tuisku. The varieties used are Perle and Hallertau Spät. Ample hops are supported by yarrow, a Finnish organic herb that has been used in Finland in flavouring beer even before hops became a common plant here. It goes excellently with hops,” Mäkelä goes on to say.
Lapin Kulta Tuisku has been produced as a numbered special batch of 85,000 and it is a tour-de-force of Mäkelä and the Teerenpeli microbrewery. Lapin Kulta Tuisku comes in brown 0.5-litre glass bottles, sealed with beautiful porcelain caps. The beer is best served at 12–16°C.
Lapin Kulta Tuisku is a seasonal product sold in Alko stores from mid-December onwards and in selected restaurants and supermarkets from January onwards. The recommended retail price is approximately 4 euros.
