Hartwall Novelle Friss - thanks to stevia now even lighter than before

 

Hartwall Novelle Friss, steviaStevia, a new natural sweetener, is now making Hartwall Novelle Friss even lighter. The slightly carbonated Novelle Friss combines naturalness, lightness and a fresh fruity taste, so the beverages are a perfect fit for those who want to treat themselves to something indulgent while still looking after their wellbeing. The fresh taste of the renewed Novelle Friss Sitrus and Marja-Sitrus drinks, which will appear on store shelves in the end of January, comes from real fruits and berries, while the sweetness comes from stevia and fructose.

Thanks to stevia, the fresh Novelle Friss drinks will now be 30 percent lighter than before. Stevia, which is as much as three hundred times sweeter than sugar, is a completely calorie-free sweetener that comes from nature. When stevia and a dash of fructose are added to the drink, the result of the product development of the Novelle Friss beverage is a fresh, lightly spurting treat for a moment of enjoyment.

“The significance of wellbeing is being accentuated more and more in consumers’ beverage choices. With stevia, which was approved by the European Union in November 2011 as a sweetening agent for foods, we will be able to continue to develop more natural and lighter options for refreshment and enjoyment,” Hartwall’s Product Development Manager Hannele Alakarhu comments.

Taste from real berries and fruit

The delicately green Novelle Friss Sitrus drink, with its grapefruit, lime and lemon flavours, contains only 7 kilocalories /100 ml, just like the light reddish Marja-Sitrus beverage. In this beverage, grapefruit is joined by red grapefruit and cranberry. Like other products in the Novelle family, the lightly spurting Friss Stevia drinks also acquire their natural taste from genuine berries and fruit.

The slightly carbonated Hartwall Friss Sitrus and Marja-Sitrus beverages sweetened with stevia and fructose are available in 0.5 litre and 1.5 litre recyclable plastic bottles. The new products will be available in stores from 23 January. The renewed Novelle Friss Stevia beverages can be distinguished from other Hartwall Novelle drinks by the stevia mark on their labels and by their green caps.
