Hartwall is bringing a special quality beer to the Christmas table – Lapin Kulta Luomu Jouluolut, the Lapin Kulta organic Christmas beer. Lapin Kulta Luomu Jouluolut is a rich and dark Münchener-style organic beer made from nature’s finest raw ingredients. The barley malt used in manufacturing the beer has travelled into the bottles from Finnish organic fields.

“Authenticity and closeness to nature are becoming more and more important for Finnish friends of beer. Lapin Kulta also derives its strength from the authentic, pure nature of Finland. Therefore it is only natural that we also offer an organic version of Lapin Kulta,” says Lapin Kulta Product Manager Pekko Koski.
Lapin Kulta Luomu Jouluolut is a dark Münchener-style beer made from nature’s finest raw ingredients. All ingredients used in the beer are produced organically and, with the exception of the hops, Finnish.
“The barley malt used in Lapin Kulta Luomu Jouluolut was grown on Finnish organic fields. Organically grown hops are unfortunately not available in Finland, so we chose organically grown hops from Central Europe that were suitable for the beer. The types of hops used in the beer are Malling, Spalter Select and the Tradition aromatic hops, which give the beer the fresh aroma typical of Lapin Kulta,” says Lapin Kulta Brew Master Mika Mäkelä.
The flavour of Lapin Kulta Luomu Jouluolut is magnificently malty. In addition to pilsner malt, caramelised and roasted malt have also been used in the production, giving the organic beer its slightly sweet and roasted flavour. Lapin Kulta Luomu Jouluolut makes an excellent companion to traditional Christmas food.
A clear aroma of hops can be detected in the fresh scent. The strong bitterness of the beer stands up well to the beer’s malty mouthfeel. The colour of the beer is dark and coppery, with a soft foam forming on the surface. Lapin Kulta Luomu Jouluolut is at its best when served slightly warmer than a typical lager. The alcohol content of the beverage is 4.6%.
Lapin Kulta Luomu Jouluolut is a seasonal product, which will be available in retail stores and restaurants from the beginning of October until the end of the year. The Christmas beer will be sold in individual 0.33 litre bottles and in 6-packs.
