The Teerenpeli Brewery began beer production in 1995. To meet growing demand for its products, Teerenpeli opened in 2009 a new brewery building at Lotila in Lahti, as a result of which Teerenpeli products are now also available for retail sale.

Beers are made at Teerenpeli from pure, local ingredients, carefully respecting traditional methods without any additives. Teerenpeli’s own bottom- or top-fermenting yeast strain is added to a wort made from crushed Lahti malt and fresh Salpausselkä water. In addition to beers and ciders, Teerenpeli also produces ciders, flavoured with real berries, as well as a single malt whisky, made at Teerenpeli’s own distillery.
