We are now seeking a skilled procurement professional to drive excellence and foster growth across our procurement functions in Finland and the Baltics.

A bit about your new role:

As Procurement Director, you will play a strategic leadership role in driving procurement excellence across this multi-country cluster. You will be responsible for delivering the cost savings mission, supporting sustainability and value engineering initiatives, and enabling operational efficiency through your team. Through strong leadership, business partnering, and external alignment, you will build a high-performing team culture, ensure robust risk management, and support the overall procurement ambition to fuel sustainable business growth for Royal Unibrew.

Your primary tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Lead and Inspire: Manage and mentor a talented team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
  • Cost Savings & Financial Delivery: Own and deliver the cost savings agenda through your team. Drive value engineering initiatives in partnership with the business. Develop and implement robust procurement strategies that align with our business objectives, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality outcomes.
  • Operational Efficiency: Oversee contract and supplier performance management, driving consistency in service, quality, innovation, sustainability, cost management, and supply resilience.
  • Business Partnering and Influence: Work closely with market leaders and key stakeholders in supply chain, sustainability, finance, marketing, and other functions to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment with business needs. Translate procurement value into business language with transparency and alignment with business goals.
  • Risk Management: Lead the risk and governance agenda, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure supply chain resilience. Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Financial and Budget Oversight: Coordinate the annual budget setting process, monitor KPIs and procurement metrics – ensure timely and accurate reporting of cost savings, stretch targets, and value-added outcomes.

Other key responsibilities:

  • Procurement and Category Excellence: Drive simplification and efficiency in procurement processes and systems. Leverage digital tools and data analytics to improve procurement decision making, and ensuring local execution of category and sourcing strategies.
  • Industry Trends: Stay ahead of market dynamics, industry trends, and regulatory changes to maintain competitiveness and relevance.

We hope you can see yourself in the following wish list:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree; a professional CIPS qualification or similar is advantageous.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in procurement, including functional leadership and spend coverage in both direct and indirect categories. Experience in international or matrixed organizations, especially in the CPG, food, and beverage industry, is a plus.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record of developing and supporting high-performing teams.
  • Communication and Influence: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Procurement Expertise: Deep understanding of procurement processes, ERP systems, and procurement tools, including commodity management.
  • Change Management: Demonstrated ability to initiate and embed change, improve controls, and drive process improvements and digitalization.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a solution-oriented approach.
  • Risk Management: Adept at managing risk to enhance supply chain resilience.
